DL0100A1 vs RS8 vs RS104: Comparison

These two 8-Channel and 1 4-Channel ultrasonic (UT) pulser-receivers for non-destructive testing (NDT) boards share several characteristics and also target very different use-cases. That is, each is optimized for different applications.

Please see the pulse “tank” voltage table for DL01 flagship transmit gain settings and a note on this “RS8” transmit gain settings.

DL0100A1 is optimized for stand-alone or remote operations, including datalogging, as an ultra lower power, monitoring system, with multiple communication and power options (including Power-over-Ethernet PoE) and multiple sensing, instrumentation, and control accessory options and capabilities. It includes battery management, and multiple wireless radio comms and sleep / wake options. 35 MHz sample rate. Design-optimized for production and low cost at volume.

“RS8” (HDL-0108-RSCPT) is a USB, high data rate, rapid channel scan instrument, with real-time control that does not interrupt data flow during scanning. Transmit gain (pulse voltage) is controllable in smaller steps and more linearly. Standard operations include single channel PAC, 8-channel single sweep, continuous single channel, continuous 8-channel sweep. 40 MHz sample rate default. Configuration options include custom channel scans and high sample rate (up to 100 MHz or more).
